What the Age of Pisces Means
The Age of Pisces, which we are currently concluding, was defined by the rise of Christianity and institutional religion, the ideals of compassion and self-sacrifice, and the tension between faith and skepticism. Jesus Christ, the central figure of this age, was symbolized by the fish (Ichthys), his disciples were fishermen, he multiplied loaves and fishes, and early Christians identified themselves with the fish symbol.
