What Are Secondary Progressions?

Secondary progressions are one of the most powerful predictive techniques in astrology. They are based on an ancient principle: one day after birth = one year of life. So the planetary positions 30 days after your birth reveal the themes of your 30th year. The positions 45 days after birth correspond to your 45th year. And so on.

This technique does not replace the natal chart — it shows how the natal chart evolves. If the natal chart is the seed, progressions are the tree that grows from it. They reveal your inner maturation — how your needs, priorities, mode of expression, and life focus change as you age.
